The most important part in my development as an athlete was watching the very best in the world in action at the World Champs in Italy in 2004 aged 10. It gave me the bug, and I saw the standard, the level to strive towards.
7 Years later I became double European Junior Champion, and went on to become World Junior Champion (and world record-holder). To date, I have won multiple European Senior tiles (pinnacle: European Oceanman Champion 2019), and have even won medals at World Senior Championships (Bronze Surf Race 2018, Bronze Board Rescue 2016).
I credit this success to relentlessly pursuing technical perfection and training effectively. I could only access this through over 10 years of International racing and training experience.
To date, I have raced in over 1000 top international races, won over 150 national titles, and won 9 successive national oceanman titles. So far, it’s been the most incredible experience,
I’ve made thousands of friends and met the most incredible people, travelled the world and I’m still loving the sport.
